The Calendar 1894 - 2004 and beyond The Events

  1. October 16, 1894
  2. Blessing of school in Sułkowice. In the wooden building located in an acre plot situated on the edge of Sułkowice in1894 school year began 11 students and a teaching staff consisted of 6 teachers including the first Director of the school Franciszek Smereczyński (photo below).

  4. The school moved into a new brick building.
  5. December 22, 1904
  6. The name of the school waschanged into VOCATIONAL SCHOOL OF INDUSTRY FERROUS addition to the blacksmith made the direction of machinists.
  7. 1904/1905
  8. The committee has established the bursa for 25 students. They were placed in an old inn parsonic away about 2 miles from school. Pupils living in bursa received scholarships funded by the counties from which they came.

  10. Andrzej Chodnik began teaching professional subjects. He was the first graduate who returned to the walls of the school as a teacher.
  11. September 1, 1907
  12. In the exhibition of the industry and agriculture in Wadowice CK Vocational School of Industry in Sułkowice received a HONORARY DIPLOMA. Jerzy Tyrowicz the school manager of workshops received a silver medal for an exemplary exhibition unit.

  14. The new hall made of reinforced concrete came into use. The workshop was located next to the school.
  15. 1927/1928
  16. The transfer of the director Franciszek Smereczyński to work with the District Inspector of Schools Vocational in Krakow a new director Stanislaw Mielec - Head of school workshops was assigned.

  18. Ludwik Korta was appointed as a new director.
  19. 1930 - 1934
  20. Julian Schreiber held the position of the headmaster.

  24. Władysław Sala worked as a school headmaster.
  25. 1939 - 1945
  26. The Nazi occupation did not interrupt school activities. However, the curriculum was narrowed and adapted to the two-year period of education focused exclusively on training in theoretical and practical vocational training. The school workshops produced parts for the armaments industry Reich. Because attending school partially protected against forced export to Germany the number of students in 1944 reached a record in a 50-year history of the state 160.

  28. Due to the active work of a secret underground organization of teaching drafting and issuing proclamations, pamphlets and leaflets three teachers: Władysław Sala the last pre-war director, Karol Profic the great teacher of a professional subjects and social activist, and Józef Sulkowski the Polish language teacher were arrested and murdered by the Nazis.

  30. In Jaroszowice near Wadowice Gestapo shot while on duty, soldiers of the underground Polish Army two brothers and graduates Tadeusz and Paweł Brańka - AK connectors.

  32. The school resumed its activities after the war under the name of NATIONAL SCHOOL OF MECHANICAL in Sułkowice. Karol Sąsiada the post of director was appointed.

  34. The school renamed MALE SECONDARY MECHANICAL SCHOOL.
  35. 1950
  36. Re-renamed the School HIGH SCHOOL MECHANICAL AND-GO ADVANCED without matura exam.

  40. Roman Gawroński took the position of director.
  41. 1953
  42. The Boarding School which was rebuilt and enlarged to 100 seats came into use.
  43. 1954
  44. The Ministry of Education transformed the school into a three-year Vocational School of Agricultural Mechanization. The main direction of education was a profession: mechanic of the machines of agriculture. In addition, blacksmiths and locksmiths were trained. For the first time girls were admitted to the school.
  45. 1965
  46. Ludwik Dziewoński became a director.
  47. September 1, 1967
  48. Stanisaw Kufrej was appointed as a headmaster.
  49. January 1, 1972
  50. Changing the name of the Vocational School in Sułkowice was caused by the introduction of the education offered another occupation: mechanic - motor vehicle driver.

  52. Begins operation in Sułkowice VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL - Profession: Engineer Machining - ending the school matura exam

  54. The official handover of the new facility of a two storey school building with a full-size gymnasium beautifully situated among the woods on the edge of Sułkowice about 1 km from the old building which was being built for 2 years.

  56. Andrew Chodnik was awarded the Cross Knight of the Order of the Rebirth of Polish Nestor ck School graduate. He graduated in 1903. Since1905 he had worked with youth for 62 years. At the time of receiving the award was 90 years.

  58. Begins operation a three-year technical for adults at the curriculum of basic school - profession: machining techniques.

  60. Celebration of the 80th anniversary of Schools
    1. The Vocational School was named after Polish People's Army and received the banner funded by the local community.

    2. The School was awarded by the Minister of Education the Commemorative Medal on the occasion of the creation of the National Education Commission.

    3. Unveiled a commemorative board dedicated to the memory of teachers who were murdered by the Nazis.

  62. The decision of the Krakow Banner ZHP Command established strain of "Leśny" ZHP named after Wladyslaw Orkan in Sułkowice. The Scout Group “Pinia” was formed.
  63. October 1974
  64. The Scout Badge "WIEDZA" was established and the mode of its award for outstanding achievement in vocational education. tHE first badges were awarded in 1976.
  65. September 1975
  66. Resumed boarding operations rebuilt in 2 - 4 bed rooms prepared 150 seats. At the time the pupils lived in the renovation of the old school building, or in lodgings. The old school building was occupied by workshops on administrative and meeting spaces with the positions for manual processing.

  68. The ceremony of surrendering the flag to the scout strain "Leśny" . The flag was funded by the Parent Committee. The Junior Instructors Circle "Wiąz" was formed.

  70. The first in the history of School matura exams. 29 students of the secondary school past and 37 ones of vocational technical school for adults.

  72. The school team won the Junior Polish Championship in handball. Our student Janusz Rzewuski became a member of the Polish national team at the Youth World Championships in Sweden and during the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980.

  96. The handball sports exchanges with Denmark. The school girl’s team participated in international tournaments - the annual Easter HANDCOCK CUP Skive. Our students belonged to the sport club "Gościbia" since 1991 for 10 years always were at the place of I or II in its age group.
